Naturally very flavorful, with a wonderful beefiness to it, this product has that characteristic muskiness and leanness that you get when cattle are solely fed on grass and not grain. With fewer calories, fat and cholesterol than regular beef, plus more vitamins and minerals, grass fed is the choice for the health-conscious meat lover who doesn’t want a lot of fat, without sacrificing flavor.
Our NZ grass fed beef skirt steaks are perfect to enjoy with a chimichurri marinade, your favorite rub, or just a bit of salt and pepper. Grill, sauté broil or roast, but cook only to medium-rare so you don’t toughen the steak. Perfect for: Mexican arrachera, steak salad, tacos, Chinese stir-fry, steak sandwiches and is the fajita meat by excellence. Always cut against the grain to maximize tenderness.
