Deliciously tender, juicy and moist, and - best of all – incredibly easy to cook, our suckling pig is the perfect culinary centerpiece.
Called suckling because the young pigs are still sucking on their mother’s milk, these are small and superbly tender – the flesh hasn’t developed much muscle fibers yet, so it’s at it’s prime point of succulence. So this is almost guaranteed to cook to juicy and moist perfection, even for pig roasting amateurs.
A generous seasoning with salt, some freshly ground pepper and perhaps a stuffing of some herbs are all that’s needed to prepare this beautiful roasting pig. The delicate texture of the pig’s flesh will pretty much absorb anything you throw at it, so feel free to use your favorite seasonings.
